Code of Conduct
What gets an account bannedThese are the rules everyone playing on ProjectA3 is expected to follow. They exist to keep the server fair and free to play, and they form part of the terms of service you accepted when you made an account.
Your account is yours
Accounts, characters, items and woonz belong to the account holder, who is solely responsible for them. If you share any of it — with a friend, a guild mate, or anyone else — you are accepting the risk that comes with that. Where ownership of shared belongings is disputed, the staff will not arbitrate, restore or compensate.
Hacked and scammed accounts
Compromised accounts almost always follow from sharing credentials or signing in on a machine you do not control, and scams follow from trading with someone you do not know. Both fall under the rule above: keep your password to yourself, and treat a trade as final. Staff cannot reverse a trade or recover items given away.
Nobody on the staff will ever ask you for these
We will never ask for your password, and we will never ask you to hand over an account, a character or an item so that we can "fix", "verify" or "upgrade" it. Nor will we ask you for money: ProjectA3 is free, and anyone who contacts you asking to be paid for an account, an item, a rank or a favour is not us, whatever name or badge they are using.
Impersonating a member of staff is itself a permanent ban. If someone tries any of the above on you, report it on Discord rather than dealing with it yourself.
Third-party software
Using third-party tools with the game client is prohibited. That includes memory editors, packet editors, automation bots and modified clients — anything that hooks into the client to gain an advantage other players do not have. Doing so may result in penalties or a ban across every account linked to you.
Beyond the rules, these tools are a genuine risk to you: they are a common carrier for malware and credential theft.
Bugs and exploits
If you find a bug, report it. Do not use it, do not test how far it goes, and do not share it. Exploiting a bug is treated the same as using a third-party tool. Reporting one promptly is what keeps the server playable for everyone.
Leave the server itself alone
Do not attack the game server, this website or the machines behind them. That covers flooding them with traffic, scanning them for weaknesses, guessing your way into somebody else's account, scraping the site wholesale, and anything else meant to disrupt the service or reach data that is not yours. This is the one rule where the response may go further than closing an account.
If you find a security weakness, tell us about it privately at [email protected] and give us a chance to fix it before telling anyone else. Reported that way, a genuine finding is welcome and will not be held against you.
Treating other players decently
Be civil. Rivalry is part of the game and the staff will not step into ordinary disputes between players, but harassment directed at someone's race, religion, caste, sex or nationality is not rivalry and is not tolerated. Nor are threats, sexual harassment, or anything aimed at a person rather than at their character.
What you post and what you name things
Character names, guild names, chat and anything you write on this site are yours to answer for. Keep out anything unlawful, anything sexual involving minors, anything that impersonates another player or a member of staff, and advertising for other servers. Names and posts that break this are removed or changed without notice.
Real-money trading
Buying or selling accounts, characters, items or currency for real money is prohibited, whoever is involved and whatever the story behind it. Nothing in this game has cash value, and a trade made outside it is a trade the staff cannot see, cannot verify and will not step into.
Enforcement
Breaking these rules can cost you your account, permanently and without refund. The staff decide what to look into, what a rule means and what to do about a breach, and may act on every account they believe is linked to the same person.
Enforcement is at our discretion. We are not obliged to investigate a report, to act on one, to warn you first, or to explain a decision, and choosing not to enforce a rule once does not mean it has been dropped. Nothing lost to enforcement — items, progress, ranks or anything credited to the account — is restored or compensated.
If you believe a decision was wrong, say so once, calmly, through the staff or on Discord. Arguing it in public channels will not change the outcome.
Questions about any of this belong on Discord.
